Canterbury Foundation

Founded in 1972, Canterbury Foundation is a voluntary, growth-oriented, not-for-profit, unsubsidized provider of housing and supportive living for Edmonton’s senior citizens.

The Foundation owns and operates Canterbury Court, a 145 room seniors' lodge/assisted living facility; Canterbury Manor, a 127 suite seniors' apartment complex; and Canterbury Lane, a 20 room, secure and supportive setting for seniors with cognitive impairment. The Foundation has enjoyed more than 35 years of providing housing and related services in the City of Edmonton.

“There are a lot of very intelligent, educated people living here: teachers, doctors, nurses, judges. I enjoy meeting them for stimulating conversation. We laugh a lot, and those of us who have been around for awhile feel very comfortable.”
