Canterbury Lane

Canterbury Lane offers lodge accommodation in a secure and supportive environment for seniors with cognitive impairment. We provide private, air-conditioned rooms with four-piece bath and cable television. Nurses, on staff 24 hours a day, keep a watchful eye on residence for any changes in physical or mental health while they ensure medications are safely delivered and taken and personal hygiene is kept up to an appropriate level.

Personal Health Care

A wide range of health care services are available:

• Medication administration.
• Wellness clinics such as foot care, pharmacy and denturist.
• Nursing support staff is on duty 24 hours per day. Canterbury Lane offers personal health care services including assistance with activities of daily living (i.e. bathing, dressing, etc.).

Dining

Residents of the Lane enjoy three meals per day served in the Lane's own dining room. Snacks and refreshments are available at all hours for the convenience of residents and their guests. Canterbury is committed to providing an enjoyable dining experience for our residents and is proud of our first class service.

Activities

Residents enjoy an active, social setting with large and small group programs designed in accordance with their interests and abilities.
Outings, sing-a-longs, exercises and baking activities are features of the activity program. Family involvement is welcomed and encouraged in all aspects of life in Canterbury Lane.

Security, Housekeeping, Laundry and Maintenance

The Environmental Services Department at Canterbury Lane provides a variety of services focused on ensuring the safety, security and comfort of our residents.

Security

Security and surveillance systems include door alarms, nurse call, a state of the art fire alarm system and video monitoring.

Housekeeping

Housekeeping services include vacuuming, dusting and daily bed making. Bed linens are replaced weekly and towels are replaced twice a week.

Laundry

Complimentary washers and dryers are available for personal laundry.

Maintenance

The appearance and condition of our buildings and grounds is a high priority for Canterbury Foundation. Canterbury's facilities and systems are maintained to our own high standards to ensure the comfort and convenience of our residents.
