May 2021: The Revitalization and Expansion of the Court and Lane continue on, despite a few unforeseen conditions that have arisen along the way, causing delays in the construction time line.
We learned valuable lessons from the first, major relocation of Court residents to the newly-completed Heights, back in December, that have helped to define the process we have undertaken with the modernization of the Court and expansion of our Memory Care wing.
Resident engagement has been a critical factor in deciding on in-suite features such as bathroom flooring, layout, and closet space and storage, and we have conducted several tours of mock suites with our residents, along with our consultants from the University of Alberta, to test different products and gather feedback on what will work well in their spaces, and what will not.
Much of this work has resulted in a few proposed changes to our contractors.
