Canterbury Manor means to me a safe, attractive place in which I can live during my declining years with a maximum amount of privacy yet use opportunities to socialize with a variety of pleasant other residents when I wish to do so.

Canterbury prepares for Launch of Bike Around Program
In 2018, Canterbury Foundation was successfully awarded a Community Grant of $24,000 from the Edmonton Community Foundation for the implementation of this extremely exciting program. We extend our gratitude to ECF for this support, and we are very excited that our implementation is just weeks away!
This technology utilizes a stationary recumbent bicycle, large dome immersive screen, and Google Street View technology, which allows the user to bike where ever they want to go (for more information click here). This program will seek to further enhance quality of life for those living with cognitive impairments in our facility and our greater community. The technology has been developed by biomechanical engineers in Stockholm, Sweden, we hope to assist seniors with this technology that is known to increase alertness, memory recall, elevate mood, reduce anxiety and improve overall health and well-being.
Please stay tuned as we provide detailed updates as we move through this exciting program. We will be posting updates in our social media platforms, website, and regular newsletter communications.
